Our Story
CatharticTick got its start in 2020 when Sabrina was a freshman in college. Our first designs were published on RedBubble and centered around themes of nostalgia and girlhood. The illustrations related to Sabrina’s childhood from the heart lollipops to the butterfly clips that were so popular in the 2000’s. CatharticTick began as a way to purge all the anxiety related to the modern world, from the political climate, to all the changes related to coming of age in the Pandemic.
Now Sabrina has grown and changed as an artist. The techniques have changed and our art is no longer about the past but about the future. This is where Anna comes in, with an idea to showcase Chicago from the perspective of locals.
